The Director of Royal Spry Schools, Prince Dr. Wale Adesina has asserted that education must be a priority for any nation that will grow to attain her developmental aspirations.
Prince Adesina stated that leaders of any nation that aims at growth must prioritize education, while speaking in an interview with CityMood Reporter during the 7th graduation ceremony of the school that held on Thursday 12th August 2021 at the school premises, Itoga, Olorunda Local Council Area, Badagry, Lagos State.
According to him, the government should incorporate vocational and skill acquisition trainings into the curriculum as this will help the graduands to be able to stand on their own without totally depending on white-collar jobs.
“Anybody given the opportunity to lead a nation like Nigeria, education must be the paramount thing because without education, we cannot get to where we are going, but with good education, we can change the narrative”. He said.
He also stated that Royal Spry Schools during her summer lessons incorporate skills acquisition training into its lessons, noting that this will help the students to be useful to themselves and society at large.
“During summer lessons, what we are doing now is skill acquisition programme. We want a situation where they will learn one or two skills within the short time so they will be useful to themselves and the society at large. By that, we will be of help to the situation of this country”. He added.
The Director in his welcome address appreciate God Almighty, the parents and staff for the success of the ceremony stating that graduation ceremony is an event that happens to celebrate the achievement of years of laborious work.
“A graduations ceremony is always such a special occasion. So it only fitting that today we commemorate the road that we have all travelled together these last few years.
It has been a journey that started with the tentative steps perhaps but one that has taken us to remarkable heights. We have experienced exceptional moments, magical moments and created memories that will be fondly remembered in the years ahead”. He stated.
He therefore charged graduands to be good ambassadors of the school and aim higher in their life pursuits, praying that God will grant them all their heart desires in every area of endeavours.
The graduation ceremony witnessed series of event such as magazine launch, cultural display of various kinds, choreography, presentation of awards to the school by the graduating students, distribution of laptop bags and boxes to J.S.S 3 and S.S.S 3 graduands respectively among others.
