Two Covid-19 Cases in Badagry

Two Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Badagry Local Government. Reports say they are from the Osun State bound travellers from Togo who are quarantined in the council area.

“They are not residents here. And they did not have any contact with residents. They are amongst the travellers who are quarantined here and have to be recorded to Badagry Local Government” an anonymous source said.

The official who pleaded anonymity told CityMood that the two positive cases were confirmed yesterday and had been evacuated from the council area.

Earlier today, the Lagos State Commissioner of Health Prof. Akin Abayomi had confirmed the existence of Covid-19 positive cases in Badagry Local Government.

This position was affirmed during a press briefing by the commissioner who noted that only three local government councils in the state is without a Covid-19 case.

“There are three Local Governments where we have not identified any cases of COVID-19 yet and those are Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Epe and Ojo” Prof. Abayomi said.
