BADAGRY HERITAGE FESTIVAL
Top on the list is the Badagry Heritage Festival, coming up from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th December 2019. The festival is a celebration of the arts and cultural heritage of the people of Badagry Division in Lagos State. On Friday 6th there will be a symposium at the main auditorium of Lagos State University. While on 7th, a Water Regatta will hold at Badagry Marina. The festival will close with a family picnic at the same venue on Sunday 8th December.
COCONUT FESTIVAL
The famous Badagry Coconut Festival is holding between 10th to 14th December. The festival skill acquisition will hold between 10th -13th at the Badagry Heritage Museum by 10am daily. This will be followed by beach soccer on 13th and 14th at Suntan Beach by 9am on both days. The coconut cooking competition and demonstration will hold at same venue on Saturday 14th also by 9am. The grand finale will feature a stakeholder conference and cultural display at Suntan Beach on 14th December. The festival offers a lot of fun opportunities for holiday makers.
SOUND CLASH XPERIENCE
Following is ‘Sound Clash Xperience’, presented by DJ Wapsam. This is an entertainment event aimed at creating a relaxation platform for all and sundry. It will be coming up on the 12th of December 2019 by 3pm prompt at the Ayabot Hotel, along Ikoga Road, Opposite Coconut House, Badagry. This will be featuring music, comedy , rap challenge and lots more.
ENTERPRISE SUMMIT
The Enterprise Summit comes up on Saturday 14th December 2019 at the main auditorium of ASCON, Topo-Badagry. The summit which is in its third season is aimed at equipping youths with employability skills and knowledge required to acquire gainful employment.
PICK THE PLASTIC PROJECT
Green Janitors Sustainable Initiative in conjunction with The Food Beverages Recycling Alliance is launching ‘Pick the Plastic Project’ which will be coming up on 21st of December 2019 by 9am at Badagry Roundabout. This is aimed at eradication of plastic wastes in our communities. Residents who pick plastic bottles would be compensated with products that are in commensurate value of the volume of bottles submitted. Prior to the event, a sensitization programme will be coming up on 14th December at Badagry Roundabout by 8am. The sensitization is aimed at creating awareness and distributing items to people to package the empty plastic bottles.
INVESTITURE OF BACCIMA PRESIDENT
The Badagry Business community is not left out in the festive celebrations. The Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA) will on 22nd Dec at Hunwaji Events Center celebrate the investiture of its new President, Alhaji Fatai Shokunbi, Chairman, Fams Embassy Suites. Attendance is by invitation.
BADAGRY AWARD BANQUET
Badagry Award Banquet is scheduled for the 23rd December 2019 at Badagry Grammar School Hall. The red carpet starts by 4pm while the event proper starts by 5pm. The event, an award event cum music concert will be featuring celebrities like Poco Lee, Broda Shaggi, Victor Ad, Simply Saka and lots more.
The tickets for the event is in ranges which are: N2000 for regular, N5000 for VIP, N15,000 for couples Table and N50,000 for Table for 5. Tickets for the event are available at Attah, Mie Mie, Rolex Villa Bar, Luna, Wole Dreams Hotel, Ayabot Hotel, Vajane e.t.c
DANCE MAGIC CONCERT
On the same note, the Dance Magic Concert comes on board on the 23rd & 24th of December 2019 at AUCL Park, Badagry. This is an event that has been showcasing both cultural and hip-hop talents in Badagry and environs for the past three years and this will be the fourth edition. The event is organized by Delapapa Concept in conjunction with Afrinype and Atta Unique Concept.
FAMMIS CHRISTMAS FUNFAIR
On the line of events children are not left out as Fammis Treat announces its upcoming Fammis Christmas Funfair for kids which will be coming up on Tuesday 24th to Sunday 29th December. The ticket for participation is N1,000. Its holding at Smark Mini Mall.
SURPRISE SANTA VISIT
Badagry Online is coming up with a novel Christmas idea. On 24th and 25th December, the outfit’s Santa Claus will pay a surprise visit to children of interested parents in their respective homes. Parents may register with N6,000 only.
BADAGRY INTERGRITY AWARDS
The Badagry Integrity Awards will come your way on the 28th of December. The event is hosted by BadagryParrot News in conjunction with Badagry Elite Forum. The event according to the organizers is giving awards to people who are making impact in the society and awardees are selected without sentiments.

Am highly exhilarated and this is the way to go!! I had this vision and values of hosting such events as that of the enterprise summit or expo or trade fair where badagry and/or badagrians promotes and establish lasting network for their commodities. Last but far from the least, Songs of praise and ministrations by different sects of worship coming together to set badagry like that of the renowned experience hosting yearly or so. But all thesame, I am very loved by such visions.
