Ahead of the Year 2020 United Nations International Girl-Child Day (IGCD) which is celebrated every 11th of October, all over the world, Teenage Girls Focus (TGF) in Badagry, Lagos State is set to host a two-day event to celebrate all teenage girls in the Local Government Area and its environs.
Activities lined up for the commemoration includes sporting activities to be held on Saturday, 10th October 2020 and a conference in line with the International theme ‘My Voice, Our Future’, on Sunday, 11th October 2020.
The conference, which will hold on the second day of the event, will feature Mrs. Oluwakemi Olatunde as the Keynote Speaker, Dr. Oni-Buraimoh Olawunmi and Alhaja Abass Fatimah as Guest Speakers and Bukola Aladesulu as the Teen Speaker of the occasion.
Teenage Girls Focus (TGF) founded by Miss. Popoola Grace, is a Non-Governmental Organization aimed at building teenage girls by identifying the challenges they face and educating them on the best way to handle and overcome them.
The United Nations’ International Day of the Girl Child focuses on the need to address the challenges faced by girls and to promote girls empowerment and fulfillment of their human rights.
