With ease in Covid-19 lockdown, the event industry is gradually picking up. CityMood presents to you a rundown of some top events in Badagry this November/December.
Conference of Badagry Corridor Graduate Youths
First on the list is the Conference of Badagry Corridor Graduate Youths powered by De Voice Newspaper, coming up on Saturday November 28, 2020 at ASCON, Topo-Badagry, Lagos State. This year’s edition themed “Moving Forward; Beyond the Protest” seeks to address the development issues that have held youths down and the social development of Badagry. The participation fee for this year’s conference is ₦3,500. Sponsored participants are allowed free entrance.
Talk to Dr. Ray
‘Talk to Dr. Ray’ presented by Ray Herb Solutions is an event of interest for natural health enthusiasts and everyone desirous of living a healthy life. The programme which is coming on Sunday 29th November 2020 at Fams Embassy Suite, Ibereko Badagry by 4pm offers an opportunity to meet with Dr. Ray and get natural solutions for preventive natural health care.
Badagry Youth Engagement Summit
The Badagry Youth Engagement Summit organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Badagry Federation is scheduled to hold on Saturday December 5, 2020 at the Lagos Theatre Hall, Badagry, Lagos State by 10:00am. Organizers say the programme presents a one-to-one dialogue between youths and political representatives in Badagry federation.
Writers Hangout
Writers Hangout creates opportunity for writers to connect, learn and have fun together. This year’s edition will hold on Saturday 12th December.
Converging point is Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos. Tickets are available for ₦5,000 and vest for ₦2,000.
Cruise with DJ Wapsam
Lovers of music will find the Cruise with DJ Wapsam of interest. It is an entertainment event featuring top entertainers and aimed at creating a relaxation platform for all in attendance. The red carpet is scheduled for 2pm on Friday 18th December at Ayabot hotel & event center along Ikoga, Mowo Badagry and the event proper by 4pm on the same day
Green Dinner
Green Dinner, scheduled for 18th December, is an initiative of Green Janitors Sustainable Initiative to celebrate the volunteers of the environment advocacy as the year runs to an end. The green carpet is expected to start by 4pm at Hunwaji Hotel, Badagry while the dinner will start by 6pm at the same venue. The event is strictly by invitation.
Christmas in Badagry Carnival
The Christmas in Badagry Carnival scheduled to hold at Loveworld Centre, Hotel De James, Badagry on Friday 18th December 2020 by 5pm is presented by Christ Embassy, Badagry Group. The programme will feature some top gospel artistes in an evening of pure fun, entertainment and celebration of the birth of Christ.
Badagry Beach Cruise
Beach lovers and outdoor fun seekers will find the Badagry Beach Cruise featuring Games, Photo booth, Facial painting, Burn fire and more fun-filled activities of interest. It’s holding in Badagry on 18th December 2020. Ticket for regular is ₦ 5,000 and ₦10,000 for VIP.
Fammis Christmas Children Funfair
Fastly becoming one of the most well attended children party in town, Fammis Christmas Children Funfair announces its upcoming 2020 event for 24th to 26th of December 2020 by 12noon daily. Tickets for participation are available between the ranges of ₦500 to ₦5000. It is holding at Smark Mini Mall, Ibereko.
Palmwine Christmas December in Badagry
Palmwine Christmas promises a blend of pure African cultural entertainment and that of this fast paced contemporary century. Presented by Aborigines Africa, Palmwine Christmas December is scheduled to hold on the 26th of December 2020 in Badagry. Open to all, participants are required to register to attend. It is set to feature an interactive session with panelists, indigenous chops, kegite gyration, palmwine and many others.
Badagry Social Media Award
The 2019 edition has been described as the most glamorous dinner event in Badagry. The 2020 edition of Badagry Social Media Award (BSMA) hosted by CityMood Magazine will hold on Sunday 27th December at Sycomore Hotel, Ajara-Badagry by 4pm and promises to be more fun and entertainment with choice food, drinks, entertainment and quality network opportunities. This year’s edition is also featuring a special category tagged ‘The Covid-19 Heroes Award’. Tickets are available at CityMood Business Office at ₦5,000 for VIP seat, ₦25,000 for VIP Table of Six and ₦45,000 for VVIP Table of Six.
Badagry Integrity Award
The Badagry Integrity Award will come up on 30th December. The event is powered by Badagry Parrot Media in conjunction with Badagry Elite Forum. Organizers say this year’s award will be especially dedicated to Covid-19 ambassadors.
