
The Chairman of Ojo Local Government Area, Lagos State, Mr. Rasulu Idowu on Wednesday 18th November 2020 donated a shuttle bus to the Nigeria Police Force(NPF), Ojo Division and gave out medical cash support of fifty thousand naira each to six injured NPF officers who were victims of attacks during the hijacked EndSARS protest in the state.
This was revealed in a press statement issued by the Assistant Media Aide to the Chairman, Oludare Michael and Co-signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Daramola Idowu.
The Chairman stated that the donation serves as a means of appreciating the Ojo Police Command for its role in protecting properties in the state and maintaining order in the LGA.
“The Council mayor, in his address, commended the unit for its resilience, said the gesture was to demonstrate appreciation to the Police Command in Ojo for its role in protecting public and private property, maintenance of peace and order among habitants of the community during the trying time.
“You may recall that the vandalized shuttle bus was part of the 2019 donation from the Rasulu administration to the security unit and has been replaced for easy patrol and men’s navigation today.” The statement reads.
