PSSDC Collaborates With Knowledge Hub Ltd/Gte to Enhance Capacity Building

The Director-General of Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo, Mr. Senukon Olufunmi Ajose-Harrison has stated that the institution will continue to seek partnerships and collaboration with local and international organizations that have the capacity to further enhance its vision for the State Public Service.

This disclosure was made by Ajose Harrison on Tuesday 18th August, 2020, during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the partner institution of Knowledge City, Vienna, Austria in Nigeria, Knowledge Hub Ltd/Gte, to build capacity in knowledge management, research and documentation, adding that the agreement will further improve the quality of programmes offered by the Centre.

Ajose appreciated the collaborative plan and desire of Knowledge Hub Ltd/Gte to enhance intelligence in Lagos, noting that the partnership is a historic one that will have positive multiplier effects on knowledge management and capacity building within the Nigerian economy and beyond.

“PSSDC is pleased to partner Knowledge Hub, not only for the mutual benefit of the two institutions but also that of Lagos State in particular and Nigeria in general”. He said.

Reiterating the desire of the Centre to continue seeking partnership and collaborative opportunities locally and internationally in boosting capacity, he stressed that PSSDC has been providing curriculum for knowledge development in the Public Service, maintaining that the Centre will not rest on its oars as it continues to contribute its quota to national development, through provision of cutting-edge relevant learning and development programmes with technology-driven resources.

In the same vein, the Managing-Director of Knowledge Hub Ltd/Gte, Prince Lekan Fadina, commended PSSDC for the smooth initiation of the collaborative process, maintaining that the partnership will kick start the development of human capital that will transform Nigeria into a knowledge economy and society with Lagos as the epicentre.

He expressed the view that the collaboration with PSSDC is strategic and harped on the need for seamless implementation of the partnership deal as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding.

“Knowledge Hub is committed and would use inter-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary and collaborative approaches to bring about sustainable development of Public Servants and other relevant stakeholders through knowledge sharing”, He added.
