The Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) Badagry Zone today, 9th October 2020 celebrates World Egg Day 2020 with the commissioning of an Egg Store at the Fadama Food Market Agbalata, Badagry, Lagos State.
The celebration which is tagged “Egg More than the Perfect Protein” was flagged off with the distribution of boiled eggs to the people within the market before the commencement of the lecture delivered by the Badagry Zonal Chairman of the Association, Dr. T. O. Adedayo.
Dr. Adedayo stated that the reason for the celebration is to encourage and create awareness on the essence of egg consumption and its benefits to the body, noting that one of the vital feeds for Covid 19 patients is egg due it’s effect in helping to ameliorate their condition.
He spoke further on the challenges faced by farmers in the production of egg in Badagry, which is the high cost of feed supply due to the bad condition of the Badagry Expressway, as he calls on the government to intervene.
