Owode Custom Boss seeks Community Collaboration.

The Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Owode Border, S. Okonmah on Friday, 21st January paid a courtesy visit to HRM Oba (Dr.) Sejiro James, the Aholu of Kweme Kingdom, to solicit for cooperation with the community to enhance a workable environment for his men and officers.

Okonmah while speaking at the palace stated that there is need for him to identify with the leadership and residents at large and seek for cooperation to be able to deliver his duty as expected.

“For me to successfully carry out my assignment here, I must identify with our fathers, that is why I decided to visit your royal majesty as a reputable King in the area. I am not totally new in the area, I’ve worked in the area before I am posted now to head the area”. He said.

Responding, the Aholu of Kweme Kingdom appreciated the customs boss for the visit, adding that the community is ready to cooperate with him to aid his work in the area.

“Our people are peaceful people, they are not violent. In Kweme Kingdom, we have 22 Baales and 11 High Chiefs and you can be sure of our cooperation always”. Oba James said.
