Onilude Gives Out Free UTME Forms to Indigent Students

The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Mr. Onilude Segun Adeniran has given out not less than 150 free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to qualified indigent students in the council area.

The free UTME presentation ceremony which came up today, 4th February 2020 at the Council Chambers has in attendance beneficiaries of the programme drawn from nooks and crannies of Badagry and environs.

Delivering his welcome address, the Chairman welcomed beneficiaries to the event stating that, it is a continuous work to issue free UTME out to students again, thereby urging them to make conscious effort to excell in their exams.

“It is a continuous work. The last time we were here giving educational materials that will help you in your forth coming G.C.E and WAEC exams, we believe it is not everyone who can afford to buy past questions, and even if you can, not in large quantity. Today again, we are giving out free JAMB forms because not all parents can afford the cost implication”. The Chairman said.

The Chairman further promised that, he will be willing to help in securing admission for anyone who passed excellently but can’t get admission due to competition in various tertiary institutions.

“Immediately your results comes out and you score very high, you can approach us too. Sometimes, admission could be competitive and some of us could use our influence to assist you in gaining admission”. He added.

In his remarks, the Supervisor for Education, Mr. Samson Apata appraised the initiative of the Chairman for investing in the students who are the future of our nation.

“What we are seeing today is not new to some of us. It is what he has in store for the entire Badagrians. Giving out free G.C.E froms, educational E-learning materials and now free JAMB forms, it is a great thing we are seeing in Badagry”. He noted.

One of the beneficiaries, Osinowo Favour said, “This programme is a good one and it is going to benefit people and encourage them to work hard in other to pass their JAMB”.
