–Says Government Must Bring Culprits to Book

The paramount ruler in Apapa and Iganmu kingdom of Lagos State, Oba Abdul-Fatai Aromire, yesterday 4th November 2020 vsited Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area, Lagos State to inspect the destroyed properties and buildings by hoodlums who hijacked the nationwide EndSARS protest in the area.
Reports revealed that the Chairman of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area (AJIF), Hon Fatai Ayoola welcomed Oba Abdul-Fatai Aromire and his entourage, after which he led them round the premises of the secretariat.
While inspecting destroyed properties and buildings at the secretariat, the king and his entourage commiserate with Hon. Ayoola’s administration over the recent loot and destruction of properties in Ajegunle.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Aromire condemned actions of the suspected hoodlums, adding that the Government must bring the culprits to book.
“The peaceful protest that was hijacked by hoodlums is not a good sign for our society, government must punish those involved in this act.” He said.
Responding, Ayoola recounted the loss of the recent loot and destruction of properties by vandals in Ajegunle.
“Such incident has taken us ten years backward in the administration of this local government,” he said.
The Chairman therefore appealed to the youths to stay away from violence and be objective in their reaction to government activities.
“Our youths must be objective and seek for proper clarifications on actions of the government at all times,” Ayoola added.
