The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Olorunda Local Council Development Area, has elected its Executives on the 19th day of August 2020, at the Council’s Congress held at the LCDA Secretariat, Iworo, Badagry, Lagos State.
Comrade Ashade Abdulsalam was elected as the Council Coordinator after emerging winner of the election and his running mate, Comr. Balogun Sodiq accepted defeat and was elected as the Secretary of the Council.
Congratulating the newly elected Coordinator, the Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Samson Olatunde presented the Federal Government and State Employment Form to him and emphasized on peace in the Council and the LCDA as a whole.
Furthermore, 7 other executives were selected through ratifications, making NYCN Olorunda Chapter a team of 9 executives.
The Chairman therefore, urged all executives to act as one, laying emphasis on the need for inclusion and effective representation.
In his speech, Comr. Ashade, stated the need for the Youth to support the executives, as this would enhance the progress of the Council. He registered his appreciation to the youths of the council for trusting his capacity to lead them.
Appreciating the Supervisor and HOD for Agriculture, the Coordinator said “We would work in unity and not in diversity to actualise the full rights of all Youths in Olorunda LCDA, and to enjoy social, political and economic development and also to respect the rights of others while actively participating in all decision making processes and equally complementing government efforts in nation building”.
