Nominations have opened for the prestigious Badagry Social Media Award 2020. Entries can be submitted through www.badagrysocialmediaaward.com. Nomination closes on 15th February 2020. While shortlisted nominees will be announced on 21st February.
The Badagry Social Media Award recognizes and celebrates the best use of social media by individuals, organisations and governments in Badagry Division of Lagos State (Badagry LG, Badagry-West LCDA, Olorunda LCDA, Ojo LG, Oto-Awori LCDA, Iba LCDA, Amuwo LG, Oriade LCDA, Ajeromi LG and Ifelodun LCDA).
The Award encourages innovation, strategy and exemplary use of social media for community engagement, business and personal growth, as well as strengthening the economic and socio-political development of the Badagry region of Lagos State.
Nomination is open in the following categories: Best Use of Social Media(PR/Media Aide); Best Use of Social Media (Corporate Business); Celebrity of the Year; Best Use of Social Media (Government); Best Use of Social Media (Education); Best of Instagram; Best of Facebook; Best of Twitter; Social Trend Setter; Most Influential; Best Use of Social Media (Tourism); Best Use of Social Media (Hospitality); Best Use of Social Media (Public Office Holder); Best Use of Social Media (Entrepreneur); Best Use of Social Media (Food & Drink); Best Use of Social Media (Entertainment); Best Use of Social Media (Social Good); Best Use of Social Media (Beauty & Fashion); Best Use of Social Media (Health & Fitness); and Teen of the Year.
Finalists will be announced at the Badagry Social Media Award Dinner holding on Sunday 12th April 2020. It has been described as the most glamorous dinner event in Badagry in recent times. The 2020 edition will be attended by about 1,000 of the most influential people in Badagry Division, top local and state government functionaries, captains of industries, and popular Nigerian celebrities.
