New Commanding Naval Officer Visits Chairman Badagry West LCDA to Solicit Support

The new Commanding Officer, Naval Forward Operation Base, Topo Badagry, Capt. D.F Duyile has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman, Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Gbenu Joseph recently at the Council Secretariat.


Capt. Duyile stated that, the communities’ support is needed in the fight against oil theft, piracy and sea robbery, stressing that the cooperation would go a long way in helping the Navy to carry out its operations effectively.


Responding, the Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Gbenu Joseph appreciates the Commander for the visit and pledges to continue in his cordial relationship with the command, adding that his administration does not joke with security agencies since his assumption as the Chairman.


“Your officers will agree with me that we don’t joke with the security personnel in Badagry West because we value your sacrifice to the land,” He said.


Furthering, the Chairman advised the command to ensure effective security of lives and properties of the people especially on the waterways, noting that water transportation is becoming the major means of movement for all in the area because of the bad roads.
