The Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area in Lagos State, Prince Musibau Asafa has said that his visit to the accident scene at Ile-Oba Bus-stop, Ijanikin, yesterday, was a compassionate one.
The chairman made this known in a facebook post yesterday 2nd September 2020.
According to him, ” My visit to the accident scene at IIe-Oba bus stop was a compassionate one knowing that a number of people were injured and taken with my directive to Igando General Hospital for immediate treatment.
“My earnest prayer is that this unfortunate happening should not result in deaths, we shall follow-up those who have been taken to the hospital hoping that their cases will be minor ones.” He added.
Reports from eyewitnesses revealed that the accident which caused serious injuries must have been due to a fault or misconduct and over speeding of the driver of the fuel tanker trailer which collided with other passenger vehicles.
