The Mobee of Badagry Kingdom, Amb. Chief Patrick Yedenu Mobee JP, has congratulated the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, who formally resumed duty as the ninth substantive Vice Chancellor of the university on Monday, 20th September.

“I congratulate Prof. (Mrs) Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello on her well-deserved appointment as the ninth substantive Vice chancellor of the Lagos State University. Her wealth of experience in managing a university, her content of character and her academic prowess are enviable qualities that positions her for the office. I have no doubt that she will deliver on our collective aspirations to make LASU the pride of state universities in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

“I also congratulate other eminent academics who contested the position with her, but only one person must win the race. I therefore enjoin them to join hands with her to take the university to greater heights. The staff and student unions are also enjoined to cooperate with the new administration to ensure the sustenance of peace and academic tranquility that the university is known for in the past couple of years”. He said.

The Mobee also appealed to the new Vice Chancellor to ensure she continue to run an all-inclusive administration that will not leave any division of the state behind in terms of admissions, employment, promotion among others. He specifically appealed to her to ensure Badagry is not relegated under her administration.
