A minister of the gospel, Minister Senami Hungbeji who has the vision to pray for Badagry Land, with the target of reaching 323 communities, on Saturday, 10th July 2021 appreciated the Pioneer of Real Act of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation, Mobolaji Ogunlende for supporting the initiative, noting that the prayer network has covered over 200 communities.
Speaking during the press briefing that held at the office of the foundation at Ajara-Vetho, the Minister expressed his gratitude to God and the foundation for the support toward his vision.
Giving the account of his stewardship, he stated that the journey which commenced on the 6th March 2021 with the donation of the items needed by the foundation, has covered 200 communities within the space of four months, and with the view to complete the assignment by August 2021.
“I want to appreciate God today and also the Pioneer of RAK Development Foundation for the support. I appreciate God for the journey so far because he already told me that the journey will come with different battles and I have seen all He said He is going to do.
“If RAK had not come into this, I don’t think I would have embarked on the journey because of the financial implication. This is because there are communities that we have to reach far away from Badagry metropolis through boat and the journey has been wonderful though with challenges but if money was not involved, I don’t think it would have been possible”. Hungbeji said.
He further expressed his dismay over reactions of some people who thought it is politically motivated. However, he added that majority of people appreciated the vision and the assignment.
The Pioneer of RAK Development Foundation, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende in his comment stated that though he is a Muslim, he believes in prayer and values the vision of the Minister to pray for Badagry land. He hence, noted that it is a calling from God and must be supported.
“Few months ago, we embarked on a journey and having covered a milestone, we thought it wise to update the public. I stumbled on the Minister’s clip on social media some time last year and what he was doing caught my attention. Even though I am a Muslim, I believe in prayer and the calling of the Minister, so we reached out to support him”. He said.
