The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has disclosed that he was a plumber about thirty (30) years ago, yesterday, Wednesday 24th September, 2020.
Sanwo-Olu made this known at the Graduation Ceremony for 6,252 Students of the 18 Skill Acquisition Centers in Lagos State held at the Isheri Skill Acquisition Hall, while advising the graduating students to be persistent and focused.
He also stressed the need for them to use their acquired skills to create platforms for themselves to be employers of labour, urging them to make learning a life-long venture by constantly seeking ways to improve their skills and grow their businesses.
The graduands, who were trained in skills such as, Hairdressing and Cosmetology, Computer Training, Barbing, Textile Design among others, were assured of the government’s support for them to achieve success in their various vocations.
