The Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, Hon. Gbenu Joseph yesterday, Thursday 10th September, 2020 held the Council monthly peace and security meeting at the Council Secretariat, Kankon.
This was made known in a press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Solomon Zosu.
According to the statement, the Chairman visited Kese and Pashi Jetty along Owode after the council peace and security meeting which had in attendance the official of Nigeria Airforce, Nigeria Custom Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the area.
“The Council Boss warned that the two jetty at Kese and Pashi must be registered and comply with the rules guiding the state water transportation for safety purpose and security of life’s of the passengers.
“Gbenu called on members of the communities within Badagry to share useful information with the security agents to enable them get rid of criminals within their society. “ The statement reads.
The statement also revealed that pressing issues relating to post-covid 19, Illegal check points, security challenges were discussed and solutions were mapped out, adding that the Airforce Commander, Air Commodore M.A Akiode, reminded people that covid-19 protocol is still being enforced and curfew is between 12 midnight to 4am as announced by federal and state government.
