The Chairman, Badagry West Local Council Developement Area, Mr. Gbenu Joseph has reiterated his administration’s commitment to youths’ development by distributing free General Certificate Examination (GCE) forms to eligible indigent students in the Council Area.
This was revealed on Thursday, 30th September 2021 in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the LCDA Chairman, Mr. Zosu Solomon.
According to the statement, the Council Boss while distributing the forms recently at the Secretariat, Kankon, stated that the development would enable the students to pursue their desired dreams and serves as a relief to parents’ financial burden.
‘’It saddens me when I see brilliant students whose parents and guardians could not afford to send their kids to school. Our government will continue to do more for you if you make good use of this golden opportunity by performing well in the GCE examination”. Gbenu noted.
He further added that he is committed towards seeing youths in Badagry West LCDA get qualitative education, stressing why his administration has supported several educational programmes and recorded huge success in all the programs.
“We are not relenting on our efforts as we will be having more programmes and projects as everything gets back to normal. He asserted.
Responding, one of the beneficiaries of the programme, Miss Sena appreciated the Council boss for his gestures, saying it will enable many of them continue their academic careers, as she promised to make the LCDA proud by studying hard to come out with good results in the examination.
