Following the nationwide EndSARS protest which also took place in Badagry, the Chairman of Badagry Local Government Area ((BLG), Hon. Olusegun Onilude, on Tuesday, 27th October 2020, held a meeting with all the Councilors, Supervisors and Management Staff of the Council at the Secretariat, charging them to be proactive.
Reports revealed that, Onilude while speaking, emphasized on the need for proactiveness in tackling issues, further tasking the Councilors, Supervisors and Management staff on the need to enlighten the Youths in the LGA to promote peace, noting that the initial peaceful protest was hijacked by hoodlums.
The Chairman therefore lauded the efforts of the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu for his response before, during and after the EndSARS protest in the state. He also appreciated the efforts of his team and some key figures in the area for the role played in the promotion of peace in Badagry.
Onilude further charged residents of the area to continue to promote peace in the enviroment and cooperate with his administration to achieve a greater Badagry.
