The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Youths Development, Mr. Saheed Akanbi-Afonja has stated that the second wave of the corona virus pandemic in the world is not a joke, thereby appealing that Lagosians should take precautions.
The Governor’s Aide made this known in a Press Statement released on Sunday, 10th January 2020, charging youths in Lagos State to be cautious and ensure strict observation of all health protocols to curtail the further spread of Covid-19.
While calling on Youths to play safe, Afonja revealed that the pandemic is no respecter of anybody. “The only strategy towards engaging #EkoYouth more at the moment, is by playing safe against the infection of Covid-19.”
“The second wave is not a joke, the pandemic this time around gives no respect to anyone regardless of age or health status,” the statement reads.
“Personally, I am worried and so much concerned about Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s engagement vision and initiatives for Eko Youth this year 2021.
“Let’s respect all preventive guidelines and always play safe for our own wellbeing”. the statement added.
