BREAKING NEWS: French Village Gets New Director/CEO

Prof. Lateef Babatunde AYELERU is the newly appointed Director/CEO, Nigeria French Language Village, the nation’s only Inter-University Centre for French Studies. The Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu handed him his letter of appointment at exactly 12.45pm on Tuesday, 11th February, 2020 in Abuja. The appointment takes immediate effect.

Prof. Lateef Ayeleru is a Professor of French, Applied Linguistics and African Literatures.

In a brief ceremony prior to the handing over of the Letter of Appointment in his office, the Honourable Minister congratulated Professor Ayeleru for his brilliant performance at the selection interview and charged him to use his new position for the advancement of humanity.

Prof. Ayeleru in his response thanked the Honourable Minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu as a senior colleague in the profession of Education for being a good father to all and promised to deliver on the mandate of the Nigeria French Language Village.

Professor Lateef Babatunde Ayeleru is the 4th Director /CEO of the Inter-University Centre for French Studies, established in 1991.

Prior to this appointment he was three times Head of Department, European Studies, University of Ibadan.
