
A Badagry teenager, Victory Ashaka, has emerged second position at the just concluded national video contest tagged ‘4 a Better Nigeria’ organized by the National Orientation Agency, Nigeria.
Ashaka revealed this via a Facebook post on Wednesday 10th February 2021.
“I am delighted to announce my emergence as the 2nd position nationally, at the just concluded video contest tagged #4ABetterNigeria, at the National Orientation Agency, Nigeria.” The post reads.
Reports revealed that NOA Nigeria received thousands of entries of short videos which was subjected to screening by panel of judges, before the winners were decided.
The Director General of the Agency, Dr. Garba Abari stated that the essence of the contest is to encourage freely and actively participation in progressive national conversations by sharing a minute patriotic video message on social media.
“It also aims to awaken the consciousness of Nigerians to their responsibilities to the promotion of peace and national unity, citizen’s commitment to the human rights to building a free, just and progressive society, mobilize and curate progressive public opinion on government programmes and policies.” He reportedly added.
Recall that Victory Ashaka emerged the Winner of Teen of the Year Award at the 2020 edition of Badagry Social Media Award (#BSMA2020), organized by CityMood Communications, after been nominated alongside other distinctive teenagers for the category.
