Badagry Parrot Unveils New Office, Recieves Car Donation


Badagry Parrot, a leading newspaper company in Badagry has unveiled its new office officially at Aradagun Area, Badagry, Lagos State, on 6th November 2020.


The official unveiling of the new office had in attendance the Onimeke of Imeke kingdom, HRM, Oba Abraham Ogabi, the Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor on Youth Development, Mr. Akanbi Ade Saheed (Afonja), the Pioneer, RAK Development Foundation, Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende, the CEO of CityMood Communications & Publisher of CityMood Magazine, Mr. Sewhude Akande, the Publisher of DeVoice Newspaper, Mr Ovi Kuponu among other media practitioners in Badagry Division and other notable personalities.


The unveiling of the new office witnessed a surprise development as the Pioneer, RAK Development Foundation, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlade donated a car to the publisher, Zosu Solomon stating that it will aid the Publisher’s work of gathering and disseminating information.


While presenting the car, Mr. Mobolaji stated that the Publisher of Badagry Parrot is hardworking, noting that he deserves more, due to his activeness in discharging of his responsibilities.


“I believe he deserves more than this, when you give him work to do, he goes extra mile to ensure the job is done perfectly. This is my personal contribution to his good work. I am giving you this car to support your activities and movement to work” He stated.


Also speaking at the event after the donation, the Onimeke of Imeke kingdom, HRM, Oba Abraham Olatunji Ogabi lauded the Pioneer of RAK Foundation for such kind gesture of donating a car to aid effective discharge of responsibility.


Oba Ogabi therefore prayed that God will continue to bless the donor, thereby calling on the Publisher to take the car gift as an avenue for increasing the discharge of his responsibilities to Badagry.


In the same vein, Afonja stated that, the unveiling of the new office is another milestone for the Publisher. He further called for unity among youths, noting that the community can only witness growth and development when youths have common goals under one umbrella, adding that speaking with one voice is important.


Mr. Sewhude Akande stated that the car donation is a good gesture extended not to Badagry Parrot alone but to all grass-root media practitioners in Badagry. He further described Zosu Solomon as an ambassador of the media in government.


Mr. Akande appreciated Mr. Mobolaji for the good gesture. “This act of yours today is a sign that our efforts are being noticed and it will pay off someday”. He added.


Responding, the Publisher of Badagry Parrot appreciated Mr. Mobolaji for such gift, noting that he never expected such gift after Mr. Mobolaji’s monetary contribution in making the office a reality.


“It is good to be hard working, I never expected this with what RAK has done for me this year, I never expected a car from him. This is to tell us that we should not be discouraged”. He said
