In preparation towards the forthcoming United Nations’ International Day of Girl Child, celebrated 11th of October yearly, Badagry Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Women Group (BAWOG) yesterday, 8th October 2020 rallied within Badagry and environs to create awareness for the commemoration.
The rally, which was carried out to create awareness for the upcoming syposium to commemorate the celebration of the Girl Child Day, had the participants carrying various placards which describe the value of female children.
During the rally, emphasis was laid on the empowernment, education and encouragement of the Girl Child in the society, thereby contributing to community growth and development.
CityMood reporter gathered that, the symposium, meant for female children between 13 to 21 years old, will be held at Huwaji centers on Sunday 11th October 2020, and would be answerable to girl children on empowering them, enlightening them and providing a better future for them.
