
As businesses resume operations in Badagry after the relaxation of the five weeks long lockdown by the government over the Covid-19 pandemic, the President of the Badagry Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA), Alhaji Fatai Shokunbi has advised members of the Chamber to adhere strictly to all the regulations of the government in ensuring a safe working environment for staff and clients.
“We understand as a business community the importance of reopening the economy by the government, however, it is important we corroborate the effort of the government to fight the spread of COVID-19 in Lagos State by adhering to the guidelines of the relaxed lockdown in Lagos State” Alhaji Sokunbi told members of the Chamber in a memo obtained by CityMood.
Alhaji Sokunbi advised members of the business community in Badagry Division (Seme-Badagry to Apapa) in Lagos State to ensure to put in place a robust risk management architecture and safety conditions for staff and clients during the period of the partial lockdown.
The memo, signed by the Executive Secretary of the Chamber, Mr. Opeyemi Oke on behalf of the President, Alhaji Fatai Shokunbi said provision has been made for free face masks for members of the Chamber and their staff for pickup at its Secretariat.
