Aholu of Ajido Marks 5 Years Coronation Anniversary with Multi-Faith Thanksgiving

The Aholu of Ajido Kingdom, HRM Aholu Saheed Sedonu Adamson on Wednesday, 24th February 2021 marked his five (5) years coronation aniversary with a multi-faith thanksgiving service by the Christian and Muslim communities in the kingdom.

The event which held at the Ajido palace had in attendance his contemporaries from other Kingdoms, High Chiefs, Baales, other traditional title holders, the Chief Imam of Ajido and the town’s CAN Chairman and other leaders of faith in the community.

Speaking in an interview with the press, Aholu Adamson expressed his gratitude to God for helping him to lead his people, noting that the next phase of the anniversary celebration will be more elaborate. According to him, “the most important thing in man’s life is to appreciate God. Ajido should be expecting greater things in the next five years. Ajido will be a global name in this world”. His Majesty said.

He further appreciated the government of Lagos State for the tremendous work in the community, pointing out the case of the road projects, stating that government should be continuous for growth and development to take place.

“The government has been doing wonderful a thing in Ajido Kingdom. Ambode started these roads, Sanwo-Olu is completing them and that is the continuity we are talking about, not to abandon what your predecessor did”. He added

Aholu Adamson also charged young people not to depend on white collar jobs stating that the government cannot provide for all, thereby imploring youths to be creative and develop their skills for self-employment.

In his remarks, the Chief Imam of Ajido, Alhaji Sheik Nojeemdeen Ojo stated that the king has recorded series of achievement on the throne, noting that Ajido has moved from what it used to be to a more developed community as facilitated by the king.

“The king is a principled, disciplined and cultured man who loves his community. I can point out many things as achievement by our father in this community and I am not expecting anything rather than peace, progress, wealth for the community as whole which Almighty Allah is using our king to achieve”. He said.

Also, in his sermon at the event, Rt. Revd. M. A. Olajonlu (JP) while teaching from the book of Lamentations 3:21-26 stated that it is God who has chosen the king to rule over the community, therefore, he should always put God first in all he does and God will guide him through.

He further urged the monarch to be prepared and ready in times of challenges while he implored him to know that he has been called to serve as a leader of the community. He added that the king should have good agenda of progress and development for the community.

“You have been called as a king but you are to serve the community, so be prepared for the time you will be put to test. Be sincere and determined for progress and have a good agenda for development of the community. He said
