2 Top Events in Badagry This June 12

June 12 is one of the most iconic dates in modern Nigeria history. It is the date in memory of the day Nigeria held what is widely believed to be the freest and fairest election in its history. Now that the date has been made a national holiday, it’s not unexpected that several events would be earmarked to hold on such an historic date.

One of such events is the Badagry Ignite Summit scheduled to hold on Saturday 12th June 2021, between 10am – 2pm at the famous Whispering Palms Resort in Iworo, Badagry. The event, with the theme: Spark Interests, Ignite Passions and Discover Paths is organized by Olu Kosoko Foundation. It is “an intentional approach to raise new leaders of change through education of the mind and empowerment of the soul” the organizer say.

Some of the seasoned speakers that would be speaking at the event are David Babale, a Clarity Coach, Strategy Consultant and Youth Development Specialist; Jennifer Dafwat, a Media and Communications Personnel and Teens Coach; and Olufemi Iroko, a Risk & Leadership Consultant and Head of Operation, Conrad Clark Nigeria.

Holding on the occasion of Nigeria’s freest election, organizer are throwing the gates open for free attendance by interested youths who are expected to register through bit.ly/BadagryIgniteSummit.

The second most anticipated event in Badagry this June 12 is Badagry Got Talent organized by Freedom Founders. It’s the grand finale of an entertainment event that gives young Badagrians the platform to exhibit and promote their talents and gifts in the creative and entertainment sector.

The Red Carpet is billed to start by 7:00pm while the 20 finalists will headline the ceremony from 9:00pm, both holding at the upscale Lagos Theatre, Badagry.
